That’s what happens with allowing virtually unrestricted gun ownership☹️

@Dlrannie You know there are a thousand ways to murder if a person is set on killing others. but go ahead with your gun control. There is something else behind this. People are giving up because they are losing all hope.

@cherokeepatti I was merely making an observation based on living in a country with minimal gun crime compared to the US. It is of course America’s choice if it happy for it’s citizens to shoot each other

@Dlrannie How about having a gun and using it for self-protection? I guess that thought never occurred to you did it? If people have an idea that others will protect themselves they are less apt to break in and attack.

I agree 100% with this. allow the gun toting fools to kill each other. @Dlrannie

@Dlrannie That is so disingenuous! So, in the UK, it is a knife, acid or any other thing? This is about personal defense. Why can’t the rest of the other world, understand this? Ok? People of all countries should be able to defend themselves from attack? We have a second amendment to our Constitution! It shall not be infringed! Tell that to people who have had that right, taken away from them!

@cherokeepatti Fortunately I live where we have a competent Police Force and the need to own guns is not necessary to protect us. If you as a Nation wish to own 120 guns per 100 people that is your choice

@Dlrannie The criminal elements in this country need to be dealt with. We’ve had an FBI for decades that can’t solve missing children cases or cases of them being kidnapped & killed. Meanwhile the criminals have run rampant. And we need to put some teeth into the law when they are caught instead of focusing on minor crimes and throwing someone in for decades while rapists and murderers get a slap on the wrist and are released quickly.

@Dlrannie unfortunately even a cursory glance at the homicide rates and suicide rates , as well as the number of those caused by firearms , of the USA compared to the UK, make it blindingly obvious that the country awash with guns is far more dangerous as a result. That’s the price many Americans are willing to pay for the right to bear arms, it’s their country , their choice. Unless there’s ever enough political will to take on the NRA and change that, things will continue in the same pattern.

@TopOfTheWorld I’m fully aware of that.

@Stereoguy yeah and what about medical malpractice? Third-leading cause of deaths in the USA after heart disease and cancer...quarter-million a year.

@cherokeepatti Law enforcement prefers jailing people for weed. More arrests mean bigger budgets.
