How long did it take YOU to get over an ex?

What did it take to finally get over your ex? How did you get over your ex knowing that they are fine and already over you? It's been three months. Almost four. I know he is over me, he got through his emotions and sadness very easily. But I hold on to things. I still love him so much. How did you get over your ex? Or how long did it take you? We have had no contact basically since the beginning of our break-up.

I would say 2 weeks. I've been through multiple long term relationships(basically been in a relationship of some sort since I was 14 so I have a sort of formula of moving past because I've had a lot of heartache.
What helps me is to list their bad qualities. If you spend a lot of time thinking of all the positives it won't help you. Think of all the things you hated or would prefer to be without.
Focus on yourself also, you have all the time in the world to yourself or new friendly relationships.(avoid romance for at least 3 to 6 months)

I guess I'm really good at falling in and out of love, almost on command. I put everything away immediately after the breakup. Any reminders. Dont need them. Second was to give myself a few days to cry my heart out, an entire week to just be a slob. Just butcher tf out of my feels. T

After that I force myself to get back into routine, made a lot of friends to fill the emptiness of a lost bond, and try to think of anything I could learn from it.
What really killed everything though was realizing what type of person he was in the end.
He made promises very easily, almost without care.
He left me all alone after a miscarriage to deal with the hormones not even a week after. Claimed I ws guilting him and up and left when he realized I was grieving to the extent that it wasn't going to be an easy fix.

I looked for the closest person to me and he ran away. That when I realized what type of person he was and how unreliable he was. Thats what killed everything.

So what helps?Remember all the bad shit.

I am extremely resilient. I'm over a breakup within a couple of weeks.

For the instigator it's a flip of the switch, but for the victim it's a long hard road. It tool about 4 months before life started to settle out.

@Quimliqer idk about that. I broke it off but only because I reached the end of my tether. I'm certainly not finding it easy.

@KuroNeko Understood. I was only looking from oneside.

At sixty miles per hour or 88 feet per second that's probably less than twenty milliseconds unless they get hung up on the undercarriage and drag for a few blocks.

Instantly. Life stuff started getting bad and it was like waking up to realizing I didn’t care in the least anymore.
his body was in my trunk and I was serving coffee to the crew looking for him. it was a fun day

I'll let you know when it happens. I suspect I'll need to get under someone else first.
