What do you honestly think is the best character trait to have?

How would you describe your personality? Have you ever found yourself adjusting your personality based on the person you're talking to? What anecdote(s) do you tell that describes your personality to a T? Mine : In a social setting I'm very open and outgoing, enthusiastic and easy going. I do sometimes push the boundaries of what is socially acceptable, but usually only to ease the situation if it's tense. In a professional setting I'm usually very logical and the leader of the group. This has drawbacks of being somewhat intimidating and aggressive.
