Estimate an average delay for an email to be delivered. Based on what you're used to, how long does it usually takes?

I need to know this for work related stuff

Arent emails instantly delivered? Provided both ends are internet connected.

[@44604,Aidolovemostofyourthoughts] Yes, it's still a part of a typical contract. In fact emails are typically delivered within one minute, unless attachments are very large.

[@236612,Menas] I got Gmail. I don't always take a mental note of what others have.
Menas · 22-25, M
[@6602,helenS] 60 second is not that good though, it can be as fast as 5 seconds
Lilymoon · 46-50, F
A few seconds?
It depends on what kind of a mail Im using... usually, two weeks from Iran to America and it was like more than 45 days for a parcel to get to me from America...🙄

If it's a personal email, maybe 10-15 seconds.

Work emails going to people on the same network can be anywhere from instant to 30 second delay depending on network traffic.

Work emails coming or going go someone off our network can be anywhere from 1 to sometimes 45 minutes to be delivered, and not always in the order they were sent. It's crazy some days. Just the other day I got an email that said "Never Mind" and I didn't get the original email it was a referencing until 30 minutes later.

I was looking at the answers like wait whut.

I dunno internal work systems seem to send emails within 10 seconds. If I'm sending through gmail to far more distant lands it's anywhere from instantaneous to a minute.

Depends really on how badly you swear at Outlook. The more you swear the quicker it goes.
Menas · 22-25, M
[@23671,basilfawlty89] outlook is trash
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
[@236612,Menas] I'm well aware, but for my previous job I had to use it. Normally a part of my afternoon would be spent trying to get the inbox to sync, then having to answer the rest of my 300 emails I'd get a day on average (that's not hyperbole btw).
