Who’s genius idea was it to send out the $600 stimulus money on a non-reloadable Visa card instead of a less complicated and far cheaper paper check?!

In order to get the funds into your bank account (where most people need it), you have to first call to activate it, then log into the website, verify the card info, create an account, certify the account through an emailed link, log into the account, verify it’s you through a text, then verify the phone number with another text, log in again, navigate the site, request a funds transfer, verify the request with yet another text, enter your account and routing info, then wait 2 to 3 days for the funds to post.

Seriously? Why are we spending a ton of extra tax dollars on such a complicated system instead of just getting paper checks like the first time around?!?

Did she? Was that for the $600 or the previous $1200? Just curious.@Butterflykisses24

@Butterflykisses24 Huh! I wonder what the deciding factor is between sending paper or plastic 🤔

@Zaphod42 I don't know but think my aunt requested a check for my mom.
