Why are there posts here about who’s COVID19 stats are right, who’s to blame and politics...

...but not a single post feeling sad for people who have died and the suffering felt by so many?🥀

This sadly became political early on, and by all means naturally likely it did. I have to contend with friends who are pro vax, anti-vax, some of who caught covid who never had a symptom, another who spent 9 weeks on a ventiallator. Some called this illness the great equalizer, I don't know, but it might be once we have an honest discussion away from politics.

I am sorry. I care about those people. My criticism of the President of my country is precisely for this reason. I don't post here about feeling sad about the deaths and sickness because people here are mostly void of emotion.

Your assumption that not discussing it means it is not cared about is really just an assumption that would likely be proven wrong.

By the way. When The governemnt isn't taking necessary precautions and providing necessary equipment it becomes a political issue. Or we could cry over dead people and keep crying when there are more dead people. But the better option is to hold those responsible to their responsibility.

I think you have missed some of the posts. What is sad too is that we hear little about the thousands who die every day of disease, of the women who die of abuse regularly, of the men who die of suicide daily. Every death is a tragedy. That's just some of the daily deaths😢

1) people get sick
2) diseases can get away from you before you know what is happening
3) it didn't help that the source government was not forthcoming with details

I'm not sure what precautions you can take with a new disease that you've not seen before - or that you didn't know what released in the wild.

there was plenty of disinformation being spread too.

I hoppe that after this is under control that the government agencies will look at what went right and what went wrong and make corrective actions
