I hate nights like this. Hyper alert waiting to hear the door creak. Reminding myself it has been years and i’m an adult now does absolutely nothing because after all this time my idiot brain still can’t unpause. Raw at night and a robot during the day. What a life.

For many years I thought my husband was paranoid about certain things, it turns out he has PTSD but hides it fairly well.
