I just take a pill.
For the most part it works like a charm.

@Justmeraeagain yeah there is no doubt that they can be dangerous.
I was misdiagnosed and put on ssris.
It was like Jekyll and Hyde. Man did I get wild as hell.
That lasted about 10 years.

@Dainbramadge were you gone?
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@assemblingaknob I'm not sure if I follow you on this.

Either succumb & sleep or do something. I watch funny stuff, sing, dance, do my makeup, go for a coffee & sit by the beach.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@SW-User if I'm depressed I usually don't have the energy to go do something but I'm not depressed for all the time

@Justmeraeagain I can relate. Hugs

I’m the same, but I can also become briefly depressive. But I tend to go back to kidding around when I realize it.
LadyJ · F
I hide away

I like trying to make myself laugh ..
Sometimes that helps and sometimes it doesn't

@SW-User laughing is always good
Lilymoon · F
Joking around when you're blue is probably the best thing you can do. 👌
SW-User
When i feel blue, i wear blue 💙
On a serious note, i distract myself by watching documentaries. But i have noticed an uncanny ability to laugh it out

I tend to withdraw, just try to let it pass.
Anyone really close to me, I tell them I'm low, just so they know.

@SW-User it seems for me to work too just not fight it as it will go away
iamelijah · 26-30, M
I'd make stupid joke to just to cheer me a little bit. Just a little.
But usually I just sleep to stop myself from dwelling.

Usually take my dog and head for the woods, listen to music, work with my hands or work out.
nevergiveup · M
I go for a long walk by myself and work it out. Sometimes have a cry
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@nevergiveup yeah, crying is underrated. I think sometimes if I cry earlier the blues will go away faster but we're taught to fight all these feelings.
nevergiveup · M
@Justmeraeagain I dont fight them i just dont show them in front of others
LiLShrimp · 22-25, F
Sleep, watch movies, listen to music, or talk to someone that I know will cheer me up.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
I try to deal with everything with humor, if I can crack a joke about it, I can overcome it.
SW-User
When i am joking a lot in public, is when i am the most sad. I understand
Hey! I hv the same shaped glasses.

Laughter is a good coping mechanism.
bijouxbroussard · F
I try to distract myself. Sometimes I come here and just lurk, heart the comments that I like without really interacting much myself. Otherwise, I kind of hibernate.
SW-User
I just keep laughing

@ChemDawg You are lucky then.
