Do you ever accidentally feel guilty instead of really grateful when people are kind to you?

I still do a lot of the time, I am seeing my therapist tomorrow though so I'm getting that sorted out.

When people are kind to me, I feel uncomfortable and sad, like almost crying sad.

It can be tricky, but it's best to be grateful. 😊

Yes defensive

Depends upon the kindness. It feels awkward when I get too much praise. I do not feel like I am all that special and not really deserving of a lot of praise.

When it comes to kindness in action, I feel less weird. I tend to help people openly without counting favors. I usually do not feel bad letting others do small favors for me because I know I'm good to reciprocate or I've already given help in the past. I put enough good out that I don't feel weird about allowing others to do good for me.

But I do feel really bad when I start getting raised on a pedestal.

Yesss. Especially if receiving a gift. I feel so uncomfortable I sometimes cry. It's weird

I just take anything positive someone gives me and enjoy it.
