Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep?

This happens to me a few times a month. It's ok if it's the weekend, or I'm working from home that day and able to sleep in, but if i have to get up at 5:00 a.m., it makes for an exhausting day.
Yup it’s sucks
Been there

All the time.
@TheFragile Wow. When do you catch up on sleep? Or are you just conditioned to operate on very little sleep?
eyeno · M
Yes it is exhausting...whew !

Found at a young age that I was nocturnal and excepted it.
I excelled at mid and graveyard shifts able to focus extremely well.

@eyeno Interesting...I'd rather be sleeping. 😴

Pretty much every night for the last couple years.
@LadyBronte The bad part is I just woke up to answer nature's call. Maybe I should stop liquids after 8pm so hopefully I won't need to go.

@DreamyCrush Might help.

It's 2:25am been up two hours already
@MarineBob I was able to get back to sleep for the remaining 90 minutes until my alarm went off.😵‍💫

We're doing this together as we speak. 😒
Often. The thing about being an insomniac is, even once sleep finally comes, it doesn’t necessarily stay the whole night, alas. 😩
Graylight · 51-55, F
Every single night of my life, no lie. Trazadone helps, but not with the staying asleep part. That's going to take anxiety and stress reduction.
@Graylight Yes, I remember being prescribed Ambien and then Trazadone when I was in a deep depression. It did help me fall asleep, but I was awake 90 minutes later.😕
Graylight · 51-55, F
@DreamyCrush Ambien doesn't work for me and I can't take it in recovery. Trazadone can be pretty effective at the right dose. You might want to try something a little stronger, as there's no sleep hangover. But it doesn't work for everyone. When everything else fails, I simply ride the insomnia wave, knowing that when I'm tired enough, my body will sleep. Good luck.

@Bang5luts I certainly would if I could.

@DreamyCrush I know. I kind of already knew. I was trying to be silly. 😔
