How do you Love someone else? How do you know it is Love?

How do you even trust your own feelings?
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
many people when they say they love someone they are really saying that they love how this person makes them feel or they love what they get from this person, these are all selfish emotions and even saying that they would die for someone doesn't necessarily mean that its true love, it might just mean that they would go to great lengths to keep this person close because they really really need them. my definition of love is very simple and precise : love means that someone else's wellbeing is important to you. in this way love is pure and selfless. everything else is self-interest.

@reflectingmonkey I really like this👍

If it feels amazing at first it's supposed to. If after the "settling in" period has passed and you accept them and their flaws and still want more....it's love.
(simple explanation but my thoughts on it anyway)

You just do trust your feelings.

Love cant be healthy if your half in & half out.

Its give & take ..& you always have to be willing to give.

Give = trust 💗

@cycleman No way should you be overly concerned. "A problem shared is a problem halved"

Never more true than between two ppl who care deeply for each other.

Most couples see health issues as a challenge to be faced together. Where there is love..feelings do not change or disappear after a diagnosis.

If I were your partner I would be very upset that you had thought to keep somthing as serious as Epilepsy from me.

You are clearly struggling with this & it needs to shared with your partner.

Please dont keep this to yourself xx

@Kae20 I am by myself and thus why I said something in here.

I do have a good work place, they know my situation, but still I do not like interrupting theirs.

Thank you very much for your great sentiment. 😊

Take care x

love is just affection and time. you can't always control how you feel but as long as you trust that person to not abuse it then you can love without reservation.

Just that feeling that comes over you. It's unmistakable. Like magic. 💞

@Montanaman Unexplainable yet a feeling of comfort with that person which is satisfying. You can be your true self around them and your walls come down.

@Beatbox34 Exactly. 👍☺💞💯

You already know. Sometimes it is hard to take that first step toward trust.
cycleman · 61-69, M
@SweetMae I trust she isn't going like me much within a week or two. Or maybe when I have an epileptic seizure and she sees a different side of me. So I cynically have her dismissed before even saying "Hi!" to her.
You just know it.
You can be yourself with the strangest people. I don't know what love is, sexual attraction never worked for me since they never wanted me back. Sometimes we just convince ourselves and go with that.

I have a growing respect 4 arranged marriages, but the parents have to be loving and interested in our welfare and how often does that happen? And its too late 4 me anyway, the folks are gone and I ever had "it"

But I like Adrien Brody lol
