I Want You to Write a Ten Word Story

Depression and anxiety. They’ll never go away from me forever.

Rage trickles through me, like a small river, nine, ten.

I know what you mean. 🤗

There are some things that never go away. We get better at managing them, most of the time, or find ways to compensate, or deal with them, but they can hit us full force at times, or just be niggling under the surface. The more we know ourselves, our strengths, our weaknesses, the better we know what to do when we feel overwhelmed by it all. Sometimes, just doing nothing. No striving. Just accepting ourselves as we are with all our idiosyncrasies and issues is best. It took me the best part of 40-years to realize that no matter how many self-help books I read, or how many Tony Robbins’ courses, I take, there are parts of me that can’t be changed. Because contrary to pop culture that thinks we can think everything away with positive thoughts, they don’t understand that those experiences are ingrained into our nervous system. It’s not just thoughts. It goes even deeper.
I hope I’m making sense,@SmartKat. It’s just that I was thinking about this when I woke up today. How things become apart of us, like learning a foreign language. It’s not part of us, but once we learn it, it’s there inside us, and doesn’t go away. That’s an innocuous example, but the concept is the same for everything. Sorry it’s long. 💐🙏🤗

Now and again, it's what might have been. Or not.
