I look at it this way. If you can't turn to your partner when you're feeling lonely, something's wrong with the relationship, but it's not necessarily cheating.

You're allowed to have friends and can still respect your relationship. You'll know if you're talking about something inappropriate or feel a need to hid things from your partner. Those would not be respectful behaviors.

You should also be openly, calmly and candidly discussing your loneliness with your partner.
