Is this to dark a story?

One of the stories in my book is set 2 years 8 months after the world broke down in chaos. This particular story is about a 13 year old boy trying to survive in south sudan which is already nearly impossible due to the massive war. Imagine such a war torn area now and imagine it without any help from the outside world.

I mean I have some dark stories but Im worried this one is to dark.
