You are a beautiful person, Viv, and I think that the compliments suit you perfectly. Sometimes the tone might give me pause, but I will take any compliment and stay positive 🤗

She is absolutely correct !🤗
You are very beautiful .💕
You know how I’m going through my midlife crisis ? I always remind myself that this is the youngest I’ll ever be 😬
It helps me appreciate what I see in the mirror a little more ..

You are so nice to help others. But it seems to be in your nature. You are helpful to others on here!
That is awesome you being the face of a part of the company! I am so glad you are happy!
I wish I was happy at work. Now, it is not bad, it just is dull most of the time. I feel like my work does not matter much. And I just want to retire, LOL!
Yet I did just make some Excel files for the Federal Reserve, as a special request.
At times the public and other agencies want more than we publish, and I am on a team that evaluates such requests and tries to satisfy them, if possible and practical. Often we have the data already, but just need to assess its publishability, and if we can release it, we will (it then becomes in the public domain). Sometimes we do not have it but deem it publishable, yet then have to write custom code to compute it. That is my specialty. I am also good at making publication quality Excel files. Yet at other times, we must decline, either because the cell is too thin to publish, or it would be too difficult to compute, or we just do not collect that sort of data. For example, we do not collect data on gender.
The Fed sent me an e-mail right before I went on vacation, thanking me, and then asking if we could make this a regular thing. We already make a regular report for them, and the special request I handled was extra. I did not reply, since I had no time to consult our team. I forwarded the e-mail to the team leader and asked him if he could address it, since I would be out the following week. I am tempted to log in to see what happened, but will not because that would be technically working and I am technically on leave status. It is illegal to work without pay. So I will wait until Monday, LOL!

Funny you should say that….I had received the Most Helpful Student award during my high school graduation. And it’s core to my beliefs….
The good thing about this job is I work on my terms, and it’s like I’ve found a purpose for life. 😇
Wow!!! That’s impressive…it’s always when you go out of your way to help others at work that it’s most satisfying. I’m excited to know what they’ve replied as well. Lmk on Monday. 👍🏻☺️

I am reminded of notes I used to get as a kid in school, like "He is a pleasure to have in class." I was a good student, and well-behaved, and liked my teachers and all the positive attention.
But I was not involved in volunteer work. I was not in a church, for example, and my parents did not volunteer for anything. And I was a shy nerd, who avoided people. Except my teachers.
I confess now I do not go out of my way to help strangers, unsolicited, yet if confronted with a situation, I will see what I can do.
At work, it is a little different. At the base level, I see it as just part of the job, something I am paid to do. I am even rated on how well I provide "statistical support." On top of that is professionalism, and a little "OCD." I like the math and presentation to be good, and somtimes, if not me, than who? There also is a drive to teach and include, so over time the people I help can do the work unassisted. I cannot do it all alone.

I bet many admire you in person, but few have the wherewithal to bring it to the surface the way this young woman did. You are such a giving person, that you never look for anything - and when it comes it's doubly sweeter.... 🤗
