Interesting Egyptian-German writer & author
I really like this guy, A LOT. Mostly because he REALLY wants to help improve the Arab or Muslim world.. He is really trying hard to get people to think, and to educate people about their history and the problems in their society.. He is not just a hateful critic who is there to "challenge" people or to prove them wrong. When I listen to him in Arabic, he is sincerely trying to reach out to people without getting on their nerves, but I bet he does anyway, since he is also very straight to the point and tells the truth as is.I also like him because he is very knowledgable and knows what he is talking about. All his sources are Islamic. I personally learned so much from him even if I was already agnostic when I came across him, and been following him since 2015/2016..
I remember back then, every Friday, I'd get a cheesecake and coffee and watch his episodes criticising Islam. Ironic that I would do that on a Friday, but it was my weekend 🤷♀️ Actually more ironic that I had this habit of watching him in Ramadan more than any other month, not sure why, maybe I just needed some outlet, or maybe I had more free time. He has a sarcastic sense of humour (my favourite type) and never fails to make me chuckle (of course in his Arabic episodes). I guess he still remains an Egyptian afterall, and Egyptians are known in the Arab world for being funny and for their sense of humour (not me though, I haven't gotten any of that O.o).
I'd put my headphones on, as I'd know my siblings and mother were in the living room and could just come to my room for any reason, and the things he said, they were really dangerous!! LOL.. Sometimes, I'd even think to myself that it would not be odd at all, if they put some sort of recording in my room to find out why I stayed there most of my time.. Yea I probably have/had trust issues with them.. but I also think that they did not come from nothing..
I appreciate the freedom I have now, that I could listen to him loudly while cooking in the kitchen or doing chores in my room. Unfortunately, there isn't much to post here, because most of his work is either in Arabic or German. But I came across this interview in English, so i figured that I will share it
