Is anyone else having a hard time waking up this morning?

I just can't seem to wake up, pull it together and get going. 😴😴😴😴

I went to bed at 7:30 last night, and finally got out of bed at 10:30 this morning...super groggy. 15 hours of sleep, though. I am very stiff and sore today, and my wrist was injured in a minor way yesterday while driving. BUT I went to my allergy test, and found out to what I am allergic, and went grocery shopping, and even helped a couple of neighbors.

Got an extra hour of sleep this morning. Got up low water pressure the entire complex has been told not to run any water until further notice this AM. They hope to have whatever is wrong fixed by early afternoon. We do have 2 cases of Dasani water we can drink and will go out for lunch.

@Stereoguy Hopefully there’s not too much required of you that you can give yourself time to get going. When I’m met with those mornings, I either listen to my mind and body and embrace the state of rest that’s still required. Or I force myself to get going to help the process along. Whichever way you lean, enjoy your day. 🤗

@Jonjdw Water is a good choice first thing in the morning. It’s actually what the body craves the most after a night without it.

Yesterday and today both….I go to sleep in my recliner after dinner and wake up and do chores after midnight and then can’t sleep and stay up drinking ice water and surfing the internet. This is a bad habit. Maybe I’ll take a nap this afternoon, the birds are in the sun room so it’ll be quiet enough in the house to do that today. Yesterday I did shopping and about wore myself out, felt fatigued after dinner.

Yes. My wife had a restless night, and that kept me awake. As soon as I finish today's errands, it will be nap time for me.

a few common reasons for dificulty waking up:
-you ate sugar yesterday in the evening (or lots of carbs, like pasta or white bread)
-you didn't drink enough water yesterday
-you drank alcohol yesterday
if I even have just one chocolat bar I will wake up groggy in the morning
