I won't announce it on SW.
Take a nap.
Rebury it from where I found it.

Add it to the other milions I have.
MrNightSky · 41-45, M
I'd pay off my debt, fix up my house, get a new car, quit my job, then give some away to friends and family.

I would still work but it would be under my terms and it would be meaningful work. Id probably set aside money to start a nonprofit program that helped the needy in some way shape or form and make that my work.
Sammy8100 · M
@iamonfire696 i would love to do that without paying and with full affection....

Go into hiding and buy a modest house.
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard I’d like to do something similar....I already have a modest house, but I might be tempted to sell it and move somewhere where I wasn’t as well known. As a retired NY attorney, a lot of people already think that I made more money than I actually did....so I won’t have to avoid taking vacations, etc. People will think that I have some money, just not that much.

I would invest, buy a car and build a house. I'd keep the rest. $10M is not too big to give away.

I would buy a really nice guitar and build a home studio so I could make some quality recordings. :) After that, I'd find some charities that I knew were trustworthy and make some substantial donations.
MrNightSky · 41-45, M
@thepreposterouspanda yes! Mandolin! I have one but its ancient. Its barely playable. Its more a souvenir from a trip to Nashville than an actual useful instrument. It was the only thing i could afford at the guitar shop i visited there. 😆 Ive always wanted to buy a more useful mandolin but new ones are soooo expensive!

Im not sure ive ever had the urge to get a dulcimer. They seem so awkward to play.
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
@MrNightSky I'd love to learn how to play cello too but I've heard they're very awkward as well! My youngest brother took lessons back when he was in college and said the stretching you have to do to hit some of the frets is absurd. 😂
MrNightSky · 41-45, M
@thepreposterouspanda that might be fun! Ive never actually played an instrument that uses a bow. And as for the stretching, i dont have very long fingers so regular old guitar can be a stretch for me at times. Bass guitar is very much a stretch. Arent cellos fretless too? Thats probably really tough as well

@MrNightSky yeah just stuff it in my maw
MrNightSky · 41-45, M
@DDonde i recommend staying away from the one dollar bills. I cant imagine the amount of stripper cooch they've seen. I mean, that might add vitamins and minerals, but at what cost?
DDonde · 31-35, M
@MrNightSky Worth it
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
Buy my daughter a condo in Vancouver, buy some property up here and custom build a house. Invest the rest and have the interest put in my account so I only have to work a couple days/month. Travel!!!!
I'd divide the money in 3 parts.
One for saving for my family and kids
One for spending on luxurious homes and lavish lifestyles and rest
Use it for traveling around the globe.
Fix this house. Buy another. Rent this one out.

There is a really great financial lawyer in my church, so I would contact him and ask him how best to manage the money.

I would have a list of things I wanted to have or accomplish, such as a long term care plan so that if necessary, in my older old age, I could stay in a luxury room at the local nursing home. I would also want to pay off my debts, which I am paying down anyway, (but it's a very hard and ruthless payment schedule I've imposed on myself).

If possible I would like to buy a small house, and have someone come in every day to clean.

Give some to my mum , but I’d stay here, why move , when I have it good, and get a nice apartment near by to be close to my mum , and stay there when I feel like being on my own, but I’d come home, because why not. That’s really it
