Does it ever get better?

For some reason, today is rather brutal. I am missing her even more than I'm letting on. I keep seeing her face and remembering the things we use to do. Sometimes I wonder if it'll always be like this and if I'll miss her any less. I know the whole healing process is not linear but dang, somedays I feel like I'm stuck in reverse and can't find the D on my gear box.

it does, but generally, you kinda have to get lost and wander in the pain for a while.
and one day you'll look up and notice the rain stopped, the sun came out, and that ache in your chest is less.

yet there are also alot of times where in that wandering you find yourself in an area you already left, a song will come on the radio, you'll pass a memorable place of significance, or a wave of melancholy will just show up out of nowhere and knock you off your feet.

But just keep going, you can do this. hearts are like seeds, something grows after it breaks open.

and although we may physically strangers, you and i and countless other people have all without consciously knowing it, wandered the halls of heartbreak. and though you may sometimes feel like you are walking by yourself, in a very odd and obscure way that i have yet to decipher a good way to express/explain. You're not alone.

I believe in you, and you should too.
