I'm too darn smart. I have four college degrees with honors, one of them a grad degree. But that doesn't qualify me for any particular job. I've been a teacher but it's a very stressful job that doesn't pay that much. People often resent smart people; I get teased all the time about it. I have to be careful to not use vocabulary others might not understand.

@greenmountaingal I kinda agree with you. This is the age where being smart and honest gets you nowhere.
I personally feel the same but I'm not smart. I'm average if I could judge myself but I've seen people who cheat, lie, deceive but get their way in life.

@greenmountaingal I'm sorry :( I respect smart people. I don't know why someone would resent that. I try to learn from everyone around me even though all their smarts get too overwhelming for my brain. I hope you won't pay heed to their bitterness. You're amazing.

Maybe it’s because I’m all as self righteous as I’ve ever been I’ve obeyed God and repented from just about everything I still smoke but other than that I have done everything I ought to and I feel good about myself and to go a massive step further I have accepted Christ’s righteousness in my place I gave him all of my shortcomings in exchange for His righteousness I think that now Satan wants to pick on me!@Extant1

@GuyWithOpinions :) no it's because I never told myself that before. Now as an adult that I understand myself better I know I have my limitations. Not everyone is super smart and it's okay to acknowledge that. There is always going to be someone better anyway. I just want to get comfortable with my limits instead of feeling inferior all the time. I think I came across as too bitter in my post.😁
