Overturning Roe just means abortion will be left to the states?

A congressman from Texas plans to introduce legislation in the House that would ban abortion at the federal level.
And if the Republicans manage to steal Congress and the presidency in 2024, they will abolish the filibuster to pass that. Expect a total ban on all abortion for any reason. Allowing abortion to save the mother's life will only let doctors claim "she was going to die" to perform abortions anyway, and we can't have that. A few thousand dead women is better than a few hundred thousand ZEFs.
@Fukfacewillie Even many Republicans think this is a bad idea. Abortion was the perfect issue, allowing a candidate to take a "principled" stand while never being held accountable for not delivering. I think many Republicans never wanted or expected Roe to be overturned, especially since they knew that once the door was opened, the nutjobs would push the envelope.

@LeopoldBloom Will be interesting to see where the bottom is…if there is one.
@Fukfacewillie A nationwide ban on all abortions, no exceptions, followed by a constitutional convention and the country turned into an anarcho-communist feminist collective, similar to Rojava, and complete with a civil war like in Syria, only bigger.
And another one can introduce a bill making it legal on the federal level.
The court didn't say abortion was illegal they said it wasn't a constitutional protected right.
@LeopoldBloom ok dude, thanks for the lecture.
@FreeSpirit1 You're welcome. Thanks for the civics lesson on how Congress can introduce bills.

That will quickly be overturned. The SCOTUS ruled that abortion is not a federal issue.
