Wanderlust took me all over the world, but it has its drawbacks, and no matter where I am, every once in a while, my mind wanders back to that one spot on the beach, off Hwy 1, where we used to start a beach fire, and cook freshly caught fish, and then it dawns on me: there's a Ritz Carlton on that spot now.

My need to explore new places, to breathe air and experience life in a different setting has always been a thing for me ever since I was a teenager basically locked up in our house day after day. That need has calmed in the last several years as I’ve learned the extreme importance of basking in the sitting still and enjoying how blessed I am to have the sense of home that I do. But there are so many times I just want to be here, far away from man and feeling at home on another level.

As I was unpacking my travel books yesterday, I began daydreaming (again) of faraway places. There are new places to discover and old places to revisit again to create new memories.

My summer affair with salt water is booked already! 😅😎

I am also such a vagabond at heart….but today, I’m really happy in my home…alone, but enjoying this privacy. And surprisingly this extrovert wants to just cozy up and be indoors. 🥴 I wish Rutters was here with me….🕺🏼✨

I haven’t travels since last Thursday. I am ready to go again somewhere, almost anywhere but I would greatly enjoy going to a warm white sand beach with the salt air breeze flowing through a resort. Drinks would flow freely and smiles would be abundant..

Parts of everyday are spent feeling that way, whether about the next place I haven't been yet .. or going back to those I loved most.

I have a travel personals bag that I never unpack. I just restock it when needed, so it is always ready to be thrown in with the right set of clothes.
