When you look back at your younger self and miss that confidence, and then realize it was because you were a clueless idiot.

So nothing has changed with you, eh, Picsie? 😂
@Thinkerbell Thanks for proving my point for me. I feel sorry for you having no life that you need to pick fights with people on the internet to feel relevant and good about yourself. Kind of pathetic.

"Thanks for proving..."

That's #6 in your trite phrase/word collection. 😂 😂 😂

sundazzled · 22-25, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow wow this person puts in a ridiculous amount of effort to personally attack you. Why aren't you blocking her?
I would.

Nah. Mistakes are never foolish. In fact they're quite a help. Without them we would never learn and grow. We'lll have them all our lives. They are never there to hurt us but to help us improve our lives and increase our faith. There's no need to beat ourselves up because when we know better, we do better and that's a good thing.

@LadyGrace

But what about the fool that says in his heart there is no God?
Isn't that a foolish mistake...?
LadyGrace · 70-79
@Thinkerbell Haha!! You got me there Miss Thinkerbell! 🤭😂🤗

Good thinking! I wasn't referring to the spiritual world, but you're right. Hahaha That is the worst mistake anyone could make, to gamble with their own soul.

"For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul?" From the Bible of course.
Think for me it was more a case of living for the day and not worrying about what happens tomorrow.

We only know what we know, sweetie.....that's not being a clueless idiot, that's more with being young and confidence can come from not only from environment and people but just from growing up.

I'm in my 20's and, do I know more than I did when I was 16? About life? Absolutely, but that comes from broadening our horizons; knowing more about more stuff rather than just a few things.

That's life!

🤔
@CassandraSissy Thank you Cassandra for your reply. And with a slightly better headspace today I agree. This was a bit harsh directed more towards myself and was mostly about keeping myself from latching on to some BS glorified or romanticized view of the past which doesn't help anyone in my situation and that I ultimately have to move and look forward, not back. And with the advice you have been giving you seem like a pretty wise young woman.

hey I wasn't that bad lol
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
I made a post about this somewhere myself actually. How I’m older and much more cautious when before when I was younger I wanted to take on the world.
I did so many dangerous things. Im such a pussy now.
Right. Because my family totally tolerated that -. Me talking smart.
Actually, my "deaf" father cracked me against a wall and gave me a concussion for a sigh I accidentally made, he heard it and didn't like it. To this day my siblings do not respond to anything I say. But they bloody me up. I stopped seeing family in person after the last one.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
That was maybe back when I was 3-4. 😐 So I don't even remember that.

My younger self was not confident at all.
