I’m so sick of being used by emotional vampires

Yeah, I’m just kinda over one sided friendships. Last night I didn’t even draw a boundary, so much as made an observation and they had a fit.. Eff that.. @iamonfire696

@WhateverWorks I am over them too. They are tiring and take my energy which I don’t even have enough of for myself. Glad you have realized this. I think you will be happier because of it.

Kinda… it’s hard to make friends after 30s. We’re all pretty busy. Even though I’ve been working fervently to climb my own little ladder I’m not interested in social status topics. I babble about whatever on SW because this is more of a interactive journal for me, but IRL I don’t talk about the house or my kid’s A’s etc. cuz.. humble bragging feels gross lol.. it feels like the only alternative though is a bunch of hot messes. Actually don’t mind the hot mess part. That part doesn’t bother me. it’s that they become self involved and entitled. I’m just kind of over it.

It’s a little tongue and cheek, but if someone repeatedly makes a big announcement, “That they’re not always like this” they probably are lol @iamonfire696
