Hydrate will help
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
I hope you're feeling better by now, sweet Soossie.🤗 💖

I'm in the same boat myself with anxiety, even though I'm hopeful. Leave it to the enigmatic to have two contradictory feelings.😏

For me, I can't distract myself from these feelings. It isn't an easy task, but I think sometimes, we need to feel them for what they're worth for a reason. Growth comes to mind as such reason. Personally, time has proven this to be my truth...

@MoonlightLullaby

Thank you so much sweet Moon Lady......😘🌹

Im so sorry that you go through similar feelings... but Im also glad that you understand those feelings and know their purpose....

Through years and in different situations, I have learnt that I have to go through my feelings to understand them, so that I will be stronger and they will be less confusing each time they come back....

Distracting my mind is usually short .... it helps me find a way to face my feelings in a better environment....🙏🙏🤗🤗🌹
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Soossie You're so very welcome.🌷
But yes, we are on the same page with ideas and one I'd already planned to make a post about.

No matter how unpleasant the feelings are, they're there to guide us, so. It's our responsibility to find out why, so pushing them aside isn't healthy.. All the darkness I've ever went through has led me to light and growth.
@MoonlightLullaby

I absolutely agree.... 🤗🤗🌹
SW-User
I hope by now you're feeling a lot better and shaken out of that feeling.
When I don't feel good, I tend to just sit with it and maybe try to get to the root of why I am feeling that way. But it can be unpleasant sometimes and when it's too much, I can just do mindless things like TV or if the mood takes me, read something.
@SW-User

I know you are strong enough to realize the way it helps.... My situation right now is out of my control and I dont know how to deal with it.... 3🤗🤗🌹😘
SW-User
@Soossie Soossie, you're very strong too. If a situation is out of your control, 'breathe through it', pray, take one day at a time. Maybe even one hour at a time. Talk to trusted people so it's not all becoming too big in your head, or write it out. See if you can find a way of observing it without attaching to it, or with detaching from it.
All of this has come out as advice/preach and I apologise for that. I'm sending you positive vibes and lots of love.
@SW-User

Oh darling!! Why are you apologizing fir being a good friend to me?? I asked, because I wanted advice.... In fact, I believe that praying and writting (what you have suggested) are going to help a lot.... 🤗🤗😘🌹

Being here is distracting...when here, I forget my troubles!

👍@Soossie
Reading.

Writing poetry or a short story.

Designing (no money but the act of designing is fun, includes materials research):
- an eco-house I'd love to build and live in
- renovating the shack we're in
- a superlight and strong horse float
- an easy clean free-range chicken shelter, snake, rat & fox proof
- raised permaculture no-dig veggie-garden beds.

Time with friends.

Volunteering - helping with green community projects.

In no particular order.
@hartfire

Well done.... you certainly know what to do to distract your own mind .....

When I get like that, I go to bed.

@Soossie

I will ask my landlord for help.

In the meantime whenever I hear ice fall, I swap the bin with a large bowl to catch the water. It is only for a few minutes. Then I swap back.

But it is off now, since I am away, at this place:

@JoyfulSilence

Awww!! Beautiful.... Hope you enjoyed... 🤗🤗

Abstraction · 61-69, M
I tell myself that I'm not in a good place. So today I'm not going to evaluate my life, myself or make any decisions. If negative thoughts come, I let them come and then basically put them aside because I'm not in a place to assess anything right now. I only do that when I'm centred.
This creates some space. It was one of my key strategies for getting out of fifteen years of chronic depression.
So from there I go easy on myself for today, knowing tomorrow might be better. I'm usually not in a creative space because of how I feel (otherwise I would turn to that) and so just any indulgent distraction, take a nap, go for a walk - especially in nature if I can. Go and see someone. Go out and sit in a cafe and do not much...
@Abstraction

That required self awareness, a focused mind, experience and more ..... you certainly have them all and I appreciate you.... I want to get there and I gradually will...

Thank you... 🙏🙏
Abstraction · 61-69, M
@Soossie Ah, a social problem. I was following that (if I've understood, which I probably haven't) and thinking about you.
@Abstraction

Thank you.... I know that you guessed right... 🤗🤗🙏
Busybee333 · 31-35, F
Breathe there for a while. Accept your feelings as they come. Remember that you have greatness in you and that although you are in discomfort, it is temporary. If a person is making you feel bad - try to first spend time with yourself apart, so that your own light can whisper to you what to do next. Do not be afraid to feel it all. If it is too heavy, do not be afraid to let it out (express it) in any form possible, even abstract. Do something that makes you relax. Anything. Try to take a walk - there is this magic about fresh air. These are the moments to take care of yourself and show love to yourself. when you feel better, try to observe the situation from 3rd perspective -the solution might just pop! Wishing you to feel lighter and livelier again soon :)
@Busybee333

Thank you..... it is about a social matter about which I have even less control... having said that, your solution which is a much better than escaping from it all, can help me to deal with my feelings...🤗🤗🙏🌹
Reflective · 36-40, M
Connect to your heart ❤️ Feel the physical feeling that comes with an emotion without telling yourself a story about why you’re feeling bad.

It will hurt but once you feel it the pain will subside. Our pesky brains love having something to do and if you let it it will drive you in circle to try and understand why something is the way it is when really we just need to feel it and move on.
@Reflective

Better way to understand our feelings .... thank you... 🙏🙏

Music of a positive nature and dancing alone in my living room.
It sounds as weird as it probably looks.
But one thing I've learned in all of my years is that it's very hard to be despondent when you're dancing.

As weird as it sounds, I'd suggest you try it.
@HikingMan

Uh!!! I do that all the time.... specially when feeling down.... feels really good... thank you... 🤗🤗

It all depends upon the nature of reality being faced. From some there is no escape. One has to face them squarely
@xbandoleerx

It's not a personal situation... it's a social one and it's killing me to see what's going on....

Thank you....
xbandoleerx · 56-60, M
@Soossie In that case there is no point in comparing the existing with the past. Accept it as it is.
@xbandoleerx 🙏🙏 I will try...

Oh poor dear - I’m sorry to hear that! You had just recovered, too. 🤗🤗🤗 If I’m reasonably functional, I go for a book, a game, or making something. If I’m a useless pile of brainless goo, I find an old favorite movie or show and let it work its magic. I sure hope you’re better soon! ❤️
@JustNik

Thank you beautiful.... I guess Im going to gaze at a movie... 😂

What's up?

If you need to use flights of fantasy to step away, in mind, you already have a rich store of all you need: great memories of lovely times with special people in lovely, amazing places. In memory, you can revisit, relive, savor whichever events you wish, with no equipment, etc.

You can think of music you love, replaying it in your head...I used to be able to go through Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture in my mind and come out within ~90 s of the recording I had burned into my memory...but you can stretch out the beautiful bits, compress/skip over other bits...you are the producer of your mind's experience.

You can think of poetry you've read or written...and write more!

You have an amazing mind...you can use it as your chariot to a better place.

😊🤗🤗🤗
