Yesterday we got the keys to our first home!! 🎉

I’m a little teary writing this. By the end of August we’ll be all moved in and officially home.. our first home all together as a family. Kiddo’s first house other than this apartment. Kiddo’s and GSD’s first yard. My first forever home.

The owner is all moved out and the house is ours! ❤️ She was an interesting woman who left behind a number of her beautiful plants, charming knickknacks that hint good memories happened there, and a Buddha statue on the porch for us, along with a letter to our family wishing us well in our new home.

There’s so much light and warmth.

John is happy, but also a big ball of moving-stress lol.. My kiddo ecstatically runs from room to room opening every cupboard, every drawer, every door, decorating their new bedroom in their head. GSD is jubilant in such a way that makes me wonder if he understands what’s going on.

Surreal to think very soon we’ll all be home
