So..I mayyyyyy have watched this video and possiblyyyy

then bought my German Shepherd the talking dog buttons.

He already drives me crazy with the bell by the door, so I feel like I’m going to regret this decision 😆
But… my curiosity compels me. I have this gut feeling he’ll pick it up fast.

Ugghh my sister thinks that dog actually knows what buttons it's pressing to create sentences because the owners have been training it for a long time now. But I think it's just...idk man it's just us humans trying to make sense of patterns. I know they can associate sounds with actions that follow... But like.... IDK man. Creating sentences to convey complex thoughts? I'm not sure.
Maybe I'm just a bitter cynic.

I’ll keep you posted. I was only shooting for the ability to express himself once he had the option to via sound association. He already uses a bell that’s hung by the door to get our attention for a number of reasons, which we’ve learned to interpret by the way he rings the bell. I don’t know about him creating whole sentences though @assemblingaknob

They're not really learning language. It looks like a fun gimic for pets.

Oh I know. I’m not doing it so he can learn language specifically. It be cool if he could make associations though to the specific buttons and thus be able to communicate more clearly to me what he wants. He certainly knows a lot of human words and often understands context along with how to be sassy lol @HannahSky
