I wish I could afford to move to another place

Somewhere far away. Somewhere that has conventions of all kinds, magic shops, old books and other fun things.
But unfortunately I'm stuck here, in a place that doesn't even have a bar within 4h of driving. The only thing I like about this place is that I can see the ocean no matter where I am.

Sure, I have family, but they only contact me when I can help them with stuff. Never just to talk or check in on me...

Yes, me too. I'd go to a bigger city, where my family weren't watching my every move.
Where, in specific, would you go?

@ArminArlert I don't know. The states has a lot of cool stuff, but I wouldn't wanna live there. I guess either England or Canada 🤔
ArminArlert · 22-25, M
@SW-User I always thought England was a very accepting place—at least these days—so I think there would be a wonderful choice.
SW-User
@ArminArlert I've only been there once, but I did enjoy it.

so invest the family money and start a proper bar/restaurant that the large city folks would want to visit on weekends, nice day trip

@Orca4950 there's mo family money + my mental health leaves me incapable of having a job, so that's not possible 😔

@SW-User sorry to hear that.

You have to drive 4hrs! It sounds very isolated. 😰
SW-User
@Fluffybull it is. There aren't even any proper restaurants.

@SW-User Do you live in a very small town or are you in the middle of nowhere? How do you feel that you are "stuck" there?
SW-User
@Fluffybull very small town of about 9k people. I feel stuck bc I can't afford to move (I have a very low rent where I live now) and despite all my relatives living here, I'm the only one with time to help grandma with essential stuff (grocery shopping, driving her to appointments, cleaning her home etc)
