Ladies, what would you think if a man bought you a plant rather than flowers?

Men, would you buy her a plant or flowers and what kind?

Optomistic? As in I kill plants
Justmeraeagain · 51-55, F
[@398195,Lacemaker] If smart cacti lol. I would simle and say thanks if they gave me a plant,as it's a nice gesture.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1219236,Rachael1967] 🤣🤣🤣
Yes, I agree. And you can at least, get flowering cacti
[@1219236,Rachael1967] pet rock !
BreezeyBree · 56-60, F
Flowers are always appreciated, but a plant is something I can keep forever.
BreezeyBree · 56-60, F
[@398195,Lacemaker] Even my children know I love plants and most often give them for mother's day and my birthday.
When you have plants growing, you can cut some flowers yourself. lol
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1210541,BreezeyBree] So true, you can re-plant some in the garden too.
BreezeyBree · 56-60, F
[@398195,Lacemaker] Yep... got a yard full of all kinds of flowers and love it! :)
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1077581,paperlace] Any kind?
[@398195,Lacemaker] lavender is nice
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1077581,paperlace] it can be replanted too 😄
That it was thoughtful 🙂
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1027980,BananaBrown] That's how I think too 🌿
TheSunisout · 56-60, M
I only send or buy flowers 😊
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@11430,TheSunisout] Every woman loves being spoilt with flowers 😄💐
TheSunisout · 56-60, M
[@398195,Lacemaker] Exactly 😊
ImRileyTheDog · 18-21, F
Either way I’m probably gonna kill it🤷‍♀️

Don’t waste your money
ImRileyTheDog · 18-21, F
[@398195,Lacemaker] Yeah

He just helped me commit murder
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1452,ImRileyTheDog] Hope you didn't hear the screaming 😱
ImRileyTheDog · 18-21, F
[@398195,Lacemaker] Nope, no witnesses
summersong · F
Like they get who I am as a person
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@334441,summersong] What kind do you prefer?
summersong · F
[@398195,Lacemaker] tbh I love pretty much all plants but the ones I have the most of are droseras and snake plants.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@334441,summersong] Me too. I just like plants around the place.
I think we call snake plants 'mother-in-laws tongues'
SnowBlack · F
Here! Take care of this!
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1219161,SnowBlack] You sound like a natural 🤭
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
It was very sweet.
Hubs gave me a dozen roses on our first Valentine’s Day. On our second, I came home from work and he had planted me six rose bushes. ☺️
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@6912,Pinkstarburst]
Wow! Upgraded 😄
Patty81 · 36-40, C
Orchids are nice
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1154493,Patty81] Yes, they are. Not so easy to keep as other blooming plants....not for me anyway
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Flowers are temporary
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@2021,MarineBob] Yes, they're beautiful but not everlasting
that means i'd have to care for it. it would be a permanent reminder of him. i wouldn't mind if i liked the guy
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1216214,yuvana] That's a good reminder of someone...but what if you're not so keen? It would stay behind something but would still get cared for?
SweetMae · 61-69, F
I would think that he was paying close attention to what I liked. African violets are always appreciated.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@10109,SweetMae] Good point 😄
They're so pretty too.
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@398195,Lacemaker] There is a lot of pressure on men to select gifts in my opinion. I appreciate the things that he wants me to have.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@10109,SweetMae] Exactly! It shows they've given some thought as to what you would like but that essence of individuality is what makes it special 😄
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
Must think I can keep stuff alive
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@455213,Mrsbetweenfatandfit]
Lol definitely. And talking of 'life', how are things coming along with your little man?
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
[@398195,Lacemaker] he’s growing! Over 4 lbs now. More than 32 weeks along now. Can’t wait to meet him 😍
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@455213,Mrsbetweenfatandfit] Sooooon 😄🤗
lcrrcl · 18-21, F
Plants for garnishing foods or for growing food it better
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@344642,lcrrcl] That sounds good. I love nasturtiums. So peppery 😋
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Bit of a shot in the dark giving a lady you don’t know well livestock of any kind of you don’t know their preferences.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@448576,Picklebobble2] Any pretty plant would be appreciated, I'm sure.

What livestock are you thinking of?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
[@10109,SweetMae] Anything living at the point at which you buy it. 🤭
SweetMae · 61-69, F
[@448576,Picklebobble2] I thought that might be a term more familiar to the English. Thank you for explaining.
[c=004A59]If it's a house plant, I wouldn't mind.[/c]
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1217106,Vampyr] I love indoor plants too.
WandererTony · 51-55, M
A plant could be a burden, if she doesnt want it.
Better to give flowers.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1199643,WandererTony] But either would be appreciated. The answers on this post prove that
WandererTony · 51-55, M
[@398195,Lacemaker] Those who would appreciate it have chosen to respond 🙂
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1199643,WandererTony] Maybe
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
I would LOVE that….they last forever!!
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@11509,Keepitsimple] Exactly. I love tending to indoor plants.
EuphoricTurtle · 36-40, M
I've often bought orchids.
I can't help but feel that buying flowers is like buying dead bodies that decompose over the next few days...but hey, that's just how I see it.🤷‍♂️
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@17323,EuphoricTurtle] Orchids are a real favourite with the ladies 😄
EuphoricTurtle · 36-40, M
[@398195,Lacemaker]
* rejoices with the fact I got something right in my life
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@17323,EuphoricTurtle]
Awww 🤗
LilSapphieGirl · 26-30, F
Would a flower that I plant and care for count? Like a small window flower? If not, might be up shit creek.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@1081432,LilSapphieGirl] Of course it would count. That's a lovely idea.
LilSapphieGirl · 26-30, F
[@398195,Lacemaker] Then as long as it was small, I'd be alright with it.
John01 · M
Yep, I'd buy her a plant or flowers. But obviously I'd know beforehand if she even likes plants/flowers and if so, which kinds. Then I'd get her those ones. Personally I like plants and flowers you see.
[@1191483,John01] [c=004A59]Yes, it's definitely a good idea to do the research. Some people are allergic to plants and some do not have green thumbs.[/c]
John01 · M
[@1217106,Vampyr] Absolutely yes.
Iamonfire666 · 31-35, F
I would appreciate it but I don’t have a geeen thumb.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@10165,Iamonfire666] No matter. Some plants just look after themselves with the minimum input 😄
Iamonfire666 · 31-35, F
[@398195,Lacemaker] haha tell that to the 2 I got for Mother’s Day that are dead now 😂. I did get a succulent too and so far it’s not dead.
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@10165,Iamonfire666] well, there you go 🌵
TexChik · F
A friend brings you a plant , a romantic interest brings flowers
TexChik · F
[@398195,Lacemaker] yep ! And chocolate ! Don’t forget the chocolate ! 😉
Lacemaker · 41-45, F
[@113373,TexChik]
High expectations, lol
TexChik · F
[@398195,Lacemaker] nah ! He always ends me that 🥰
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
Why buy her a plant when she can have the whole garden for free? ;)
