Have you ever experienced a self-checkout ONLY Walmart?

I experienced that for the first time today when I went to a different, grocery-only Walmart. I asked a worker, to be sure that I didn't overlook the cashiers... ...there were no cashiers. Glad I only picked up a few items😐 🍗🥧🍩

I won't use it as long as there are humans working the register.

they aren't giving me a discount for doing a cashier's job - and I don't want to keep a person from having a job

@iamnikki no not only, about 50/50 but most of the traditional registers are closed.

Self check out is way faster

In theory, self-checkout is a much needed upgrade to avoid getting pulled into unsolicited conversations with cashiers. The problem is, the self-checkout monitors tend to act like prison guards by checking in on you as you are scanning the items. And, don't get me started on the Greeter situation...

We also have them at a local grocery store, and at Target department store, but there are cashiers as well.

All of my local Walmarts have been like this for a few years. Its dumb.
These stores are abusing us and the employees

@REMsleep wow. I'm ok with self checkout, I just prefer having the option. Guess you can say I have the option to go to another store😄
