So your ex who got married sent you a instagram follow request. Do you accept it and follow back ?

Not accepting it might seem like I’m not over her.
Accepting it means I have to see her updates which I don’t want to. What’s a good way to handle a situation like this ?

follow back only if youre interested in still being friends enough to tolerate having to see anything she posts. FB is nice becaues it has an unfollow button but you still stay friends and can peek at their profile if ever you want. curious minds want to know. did you accept it lol? i just ignored my ex on instagram.

@Penny Not when I posted this question. During the second covid wave, we caught up over text, and she sent me a request again. I accepted it this time, didn’t think over it too much.
I'm guessing you haven't married yet, so this is one way to throw in your face that she's moved on to marriage, and now wants to rub all the "happy" pic in your face.

Seems odd to me I'd block her

not accepting it means you ARE over her and not interested in what she’s doing. You’re not over it - if you were, this would be easy, but you can trust me. It’s ok not to accept. And if she’s over you, she won’t really care either.

No do not accept. You dont need the drama thats bound to unfold.

Move on, cut off all ties to her would be my advice.

The simple answer is to do what you want.
Avoid it at all costs.

Can’t you just accept it and not follow back? People follow me all the time but I hardly ever follow back unless I like them.
revenant · F
It does not show much respect for their spouse and I would think they are not entirely over you.

The good way is to not worry about what it looks like and do what you want.

Are you over her?
rockstar · 31-35, M
Yes it’s been a while now..
Wished her the best in life, and got busy doing my own thing.@passingby8

@rockstar I wouldn't add her unless you felt comfortable with it,she can think whatever she wants your peace of mind is more important.

I'd just ignore it and do nothing.
