I'll always be a part of a group/community, due to my ethnicity and culture but that doesn't mean I have to be like everyone else nor do I want to be.

I think people forget they can belong or identify with a group and still be an individual.

Here's a comic analogy (because i like comics) Batman is a part of the justice league, that doesn't mean he has to go with everything they do and he stops being batman.

@5thApprentice Why not be part of a group based on your values? Wouldn't that make a little more sense rather than the obvious culture or race.

Which society? The 'Human Race' counts as a group. In some societies, group action equates to survival. As to Trump, I think Groucho Marx's quote about clubs applies.
