EC is a remnant from hundreds of years ago and should be changed
4meAndyou · F
@DMmeyourtits No, it should NOT. It is the ONLY way the middle of the country can receive adequate representation in Congress. Otherwise our country would be ruled entirely by the insanity of the east and west coast.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DMmeyourtits I don't agree. I definitely would not be happy being ruled by the big cities.

@DMmeyourtits

But I am sure you have no qualms whatsoever about ALL of the New England states' 21 US House members being Democrats.

One person, one vote in New England (or California, Illinois or NY) in the House?

Don't make me laugh.

By getting rid of the Electoral College, the gorgeous beautiful people of Manhattan, Chicago and Hollywood will get to decide who our leaders will be.
TexChik · F
@Barefooter25 The chance of the democrats amending the constitution to remove the electoral college is only slightly more than the chance democrats can win a fair election. Ain't happening!
@TexChik I certainly hope that holds true! The moment they can remove it we are finished.
TexChik · F
@UnderLockDown They can't without cheating and likely starting a civil war. It takes a 2/3 vote of states to amend the constitution. That is 38 states. Not going to happen for democrats, it would be almost impossible for republicans. I think the implosion or California and NYC and the further exposure of democrat corruption might make it possible for the Republicans to get enough votes...but then Republicans don't want to amend the constitution.
