We thank you for such a factual, evidence based, long study of the events that led up to the legal search and seizure of documents from Trump's place in Florida. With minds such as yours, we can now do away with the DOJ and the FBI.

@Ontheroad That's the third time you've masturbated yourself - are you really that unselfaware?

@SW-User You are quite funny... or sad, I'm not sure which. In any case, I grow weary of your little game, and will allow it to stop... if you do.

Funny how the party of law and order suddenly has a problem with it when they are the ones caught committing crimes. Though Trump isn't even really a republican, i don't understand why they keep sacrificing themselves to protect him.

@ViciDraco Well said. His boot lickers are pathetic.

The one who stole the documents should have thought about the possible fallout before he decided to abuse his power in favor of money. There was no excuse for stealing classified information. Trump could have simply given back all the documents like the FBI asked for several times before a search warrant was executed. The FBI did their job. Americans now understand why Trump is an idiot.
RocktheHouse · M
@SW-User Presidents take home documents all the time. Its not stealing.
SW-User
@RocktheHouse Yeah, and Trump is Jesus Christ’s father 🙄.

If Trump told you your own mother was against him you'd put her in chains and ship her to Siberia.

The fbi asked for all documents be turned over in January of 2021 obviously they never received them so the search was ordered and surprise surprise they found the withheld documents
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@RocktheHouse
There was no excuse for the raid. The FBI could have simply asked Trump for the documents. They knew exactly what they were doing. This was all politically calculated. Americans now understand why the Jan 6 freedom fighters did what they did.
If the FBI had followed previous procedures they would have conducted a no-knock search warrant at 3 a.m. and shot anyone in the building who resisted. Instead, they gave the lying orange turd special treatment. They can make up for it by raiding all of his ass kissers in Congress for being domestic enemies of America.

@Diotrephes What previous proceedures? Has a search warrant ever been issued before for bad filing? 😂
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@SW-User I was talking about previous instances where cops barge into a house in the middle of the midle with a no-knock warrant. They usually end up killing the startled sleepers. You have surely read about such cases on this forum is not in the newspapers.
In the case of the orange creep, if the evidence shows that he has unauthorized documents, a warrant for his arrest should be issued and he should be immediately arrested and booked for the crimes. He can then be released on bail or on his own recognizance. If that doesn't happen this coming week they are just playing a game.

@Diotrephes I do agree with you on that. From personal experience with classified documents "unauthorized documents" sounds bad but can range greatly in seriousness depending on both the context and content.
The most disturbing thing to me is the possibility they were physically working with the documents -realised some were classified - left without taking them into custody, then came back some time later with a warrant and 30 armed officers.
That would be worst case for me.
I find it a stretch to believe that Trump has been engaging in espionage.
But you're dead on that if they've got the goods they'll move quickly. It just better be good. Really good. Or I'll be really pissed.

The FBI did, and his attorney responded with a letter, back in June, claiming there are no confidential documents. In reality, the FBI found 11 boxes of confidential materials that Trump was paraded around to his visitors.

When the National Archives asked for the documents, Trump ignored the request.
When the National Archives subpoenaed the documents, Trump handed over some but not all.
When the FBI got a tip with a description of more documents that remained and that Trump had withheld them, the FBI was justified in filing for a search warrant.
The search warrant is justified when all other recourse has been tried and failed.
And the proof was in the result - Trump was illegally holding onto government documents in violation of the Espionage Act; a law that does NOT depend on classification vs declassification.
Regardless, here's some commentary about Trump's "declassification" defense:
Mr. Bolton, who served as Mr. Trump’s third national security adviser over 17 months, said he had never heard of the standing order that Mr. Trump’s office claimed to have in place. It is, he said, “almost certainly a lie.”
“I was never briefed on any such order, procedure, policy when I came in,” Mr. Bolton said, adding that he had never been told of it while he was working there, and had never heard of such a thing after. “If he were to say something like that, you would have to memorialize that, so that people would know it existed,” he said.
What’s more, he pointed out, secure facilities for viewing sensitive material were constructed at Mr. Trump’s clubs in Florida and New Jersey, where he often spent weekends as president, meaning that the documents wouldn’t need to be declassified. And if they were declassified, Mr. Bolton said, they would be considered subject to public record requests.
He continued, “When somebody begins to concoct lies like this, it shows a real level of desperation.”
A bit more:
The claim that the documents held in the Florida residence were declassified also undercut an assertion one of Mr. Trump’s lawyers made in June. In a written declaration, the lawyer’s team said all material marked as classified and stored at Mar-a-Lago had been returned to the government.

The FBI had been working with Trump. They had him to put an extra lock on the door of the storage room where the documents were located. Of course, the FBI can totally be trusted 🙄
SW-User
@BizSuitStacy I can only think this is true because it was talked about before the release of the warrant and seizure documents which identified that room and the office

You mean Jan 6 insurrectionist?
No, it has nothing to do with the fbi upholding the law.

It is a dangerous road when you are in a position of authority to serve and represent all of America and decide to demonize and alienate half the country and pursue a personal vendetta at the expense of the country's wellbeing
Their bed.
