At this point I'm so sure that I'm gay

and society's expectations and internalized homophobia just make me deny it. Whenever I click with a girl I met online (dating sites, etc.) I get ghosted or rejected in some way eventually, whereas guys only seem to gain interest in me. It's like there's some kind of protection mechanism I use subconsciously to attract guys and keep girls away from me, because deep down I know I'm gay. I'm so confused.

@CrazyMusicLover Well, to describe it as good as I can, I think I can be turned on by the [i]concept[/i] of a woman, but not an actual woman. Femininity and women in my imagination can turn me on, but irl they just have something highly unattractive about themselves.

But to me it rather sounds like you met wrong kinds of women.
Explore your psyche but I guess nothing beats the real experience in terms of sorting things out.
