Very unusual story [I Was Stalked]

It started when I started getting strange texts from an unknown number and I couldn't figure out just who it was. I even called T mobile and they said they're not at liberty to give any sort of information on who the number was registered with. I ended up changing my number and thought I'd gotten rid of my issue but I was only kidding myself. I started getting love notes on my windshield and rear glass. These were really intense and the person even wrote "you might've changed your number but you can't change my love."

I told my friends and family and they played it off like nothing was up and thought it was a silly crush. I got really alarmed when the notes got more intimate and started describing my boxers and where specific things were kept at my house. At this time, my divorce with my wife was fresh so I was alone with the kids. I couldn't chance any of it so I contacted local law enforcement. They read the notes and indicated that there was nothing they could do and advised me to set up cameras outside my house and car just incase the person "stricked" again and looking back I wish I placed cameras on my car and not just my house.

The next day, I had a friend over that I attended college with as we were celebrating my birthday. The following day when I was leaving work, I realized my car tires were slashed and the a note left saying "you broke my heart and now you will pay "

I considered that a threat and took it to the police again. They said they would have someone look into it. I took the note to some of my coworkers and told them how restless I was about these crazy notes. One of my coworkers recognized the hand writing and told me he knew he'd seen it before.
