When I place an order over the phone I always use a simpler version of my last name because my actual last name is so hard for people to grasp. I've had it pronounce correctly about 3 times in my entire life (not an exaggeration).

There are a handful of names I go by because people mishear my name or can’t remember it. Most of the time I’ll give my name, and when they repeat it back incorrectly I’ll just agree with them. Sometimes I’ll just lie upfront and give an easier version of my name.
