Bring on a general election immediately!

Lord Sumption condemns any attempt by the Government to 'change the facts by law'.

Assuming deportations commence in the spring next year, it would be 'profoundly discreditable' and 'unprecedented' to push through emergency legislation; essentially disregarding an SC ruling.

That is of course if the House of Lords do not veto it before it even manages to bypass international conventions and human rights law; which it won't obviously!
