Is Joe Lycett going to be in legal trouble for destroying money?

I'm conflicted, I understand that he wants to protest Beckhams support for a homophobic regime but that £10k+ could have been directed to charities and support groups within Qatar and the region that will help the community.

It to me is a senseless and egotistical action that helps no one, and the man has lost money knowing that David Beckham couldn't give two shits about him.

No, there won't be any negative effects.

Comedian Joe Lycett called David Beckham's Qatar World Cup deal "total b*******" and said that while the £10,000 he put into the wood-chipper was real, the money that came out was fake.

Joe Lycett has revealed that he didn't shred £10,000 in a livestreamed stunt on Sunday, and has instead donated the money to LGBTQ+ charities.
