I Wanted To Write About How You Inspire Me

Today, you changed my life. A 4 year old boy who I didn't know existed until today.
Life hasn't been easy for me since being diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease in March this year. Since then, it has been a struggle and discomfort has become my new normal.
I was feeling overwhelmed with it all today when you came to the door of the play centre I work at with your mother and baby sister. You came racing in and ran straight to the play tower running super fast up it. Your mother commented on how fast you were. We got talking she and I. There I found out you were suffering from leukaemia. It was only when I looked back at you more closely that I could tell something was wrong. Your little face looked pale. Other than that I would never have known. Your mother talked about your treatment, your resilience and how at the end of it all, all you want to do is play.
I fought back tears throughout. Your bravery and gentle nature towards your sister deeply moved me. You taught me an important lifelesson today, never give up and always try and see joy in the world however hard that is at times.
You inspired me. God bless you always, you have moved so many mountains and touched so many hearts already just by being you.
