So I was researching who tends to deal with accountability better, men or women, and instead I found this cool test that does the comparison for you
And while my initial question wasn't definitively answered, it does appear that dealing with accountability is a highly individual trait that has less to do with sex than I thought. Might be more of a societal/upbringing thing.
I also took the quiz and was intrigued but my results as some of them are contradictory, but they make sense I guess; I am the type who knows but just doesn't care 🤷🏽♂️.
This was a weird test because I felt like the questions to determine all that were too simplistic, like they might have as well asked "Are you sexual?", "Are you anxious?" etc. I guess the accountability trait you were looking for here is the "less self defending"?
@HannibalAteMeOut well the in depth analysis said that there aren't many big differences between men and women as far as personality traits. There are, instead, many small differences.
These that are listed and described are the small differences they were referring to.
I am lead to believe, based on that, that big and complex things such as personal accountability are among those things that are not dependent on sex.
Tendency to defend oneself doesn't really translate to accountability. Self-victimization is the opposite of defending ones self but it is not accountability either....more of a deflection.
Likewise, one can defend themselves yet still hold themselves accountable for their share of the blame.
