Sometimes I just like to tinker and keep busy instead of buying the things I want. Sure they sell alcohol burning camp stoves but I've made several just to try.

Alcohol is a very dangerous fuel. The vapour can form a cloud which can then be ignited explosively. I have seen such a fire in a tent. Making home made devices could be very dangerous..

@sogdianrock thank you for the sincere concern. I have heard this but never experienced it. I personally use 90% isopropyl because it is less explosive than pure denatured alcohol.
