Just spoke to my doctor, his office is packed with COVID patients…

It was for chest congestion, I got tested and am COVID negative. His advice when we didn’t know was lots of water, vitamin D, C and zinc. He recommended “superfoods” like moringa and avocado.

I am vaxxed so he wasn’t too concerned about severe symptoms but keeping your immune system healthy is key!!

@OldMan70 Generally most of what you recommend isn't terribly harmful, but large doses of vitamin D over time increases your risk of kidney stones, too much water and your sodium can drop so low as to cause coma or seizures, so be careful. Paracelsus once said, what is it that is a poison, for everything has poisonous properties, it is only the dose that makes something NOT a poison. I was a clinical toxicologist for 50 years.

@OldMan70 Not vitamin D, it is one of the fat soluble vitamins and persists. The vitamin C can have side effects as well, but is water soluble, so it is generally less toxic.

@OldMan70 there are several forms of vitamin d. The body activates even d3 to The dihydroversion. It is somewhat complicated, but if you go to purchase a vitamin, yrs, buy d3. But, I would generally not go above 1000 units, unless under a physicians care for a deficiency or a child with rockets.
