They've known for a while that pets, especially cats can carry it. I don't remember if it makes them sick or not.

I love kitties, it would be awful if people started abandoning them because of incomplete information..
@SW-User "Cross species transmission" is not incomplete information. It's proven science. Whether you like kitties or not......science is science. If people got this from animals....and now a tiger has gotten it from a human...obviously this virus can be transmitted back and forth from humans to animals. ALL animals.

It came from exotic animals first, that the Chinese were capturing, crowding together and eating.

I think they first found out about a dog getting it in France. They discovered traces of the virus in the nostrils but nowhere else. Now poor tiggy has it.
