What can cause your lips to feel dry and rough no matter how much chapstick you apply?

I wonder if being dehydrated can do that? I don't drink enough water myself, and my lips are always dry.

Try some Carmex or other medicated lip balm

chap stick is just petrolatum, it "holds" moisture, but does not GIVE moisture. try something else, something with hyalauranic acid

Not drinking enough water. You are dehydrated. It could also be a side effect of certain medications

The more you use it the worse the problem gets. Stop using it for a while.

My ex had that same problem when we were going out... only her issue was caused by friction....
