I got food poisoning and had to take care of myself

My roommate is my former fiance. When I got sick tonight, he barely looked away from his computer game. He only retrieved medicine and water (begrudgingly) for me after I begged him to. Gee, thanks. 🙄

Meanwhile, my friend in Arizona was texting me constantly, asking how I was doing, if I was drinking enough water, googling the vitamins I need, and lamenting the fact that he lives too far away to take care of me properly when I'm sick. 🥺

I don't know why he cares for me so much, but wow. I've never been treated like this before, not even by my parents. It's a strange (but nice) feeling that I'm almost scared to get used to (because there is always a chance it will go away).

It's really crazy how much one person caring about you can change everything. I feel like I'm blooming. 🌷

I hope you feel better.

You deserve to be cared for and feel like you're blooming.

Hope you feel better.

And accept the good stuff you deserve it
He should be your roommate and not your ex-fiance. Get well soon!
[@831314,DearAmbellina2113] Of course I would care for my roommate if they are sick! That was precisely my point, if your current roommate(ex-fiance) doesn't feel like helping you out when you need help and the other guy who seems to care is giving you comfort and is asking how you are, then he should be your roommate and not your current one.

Do you understand what I mean?

[@1186998,LILMissAnonyMOUSE] oh! Yes I understand now. I agree!
[@831314,DearAmbellina2113] 😄 👍

When I read a story like this, my first question would be: why is your ex-fiance your roommate?
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
[@1777,laotzu92] because we were engaged and sharing this apartment, then we broke up but are staying here until our lease is up in April.

[@831314,DearAmbellina2113] good luck on the future.
