Humans are sadder than i used to think.
I kinda asumed we all got deeper and smarter as we aged.

But so many dont. Its like they regress back into past emotinal needs and desires to block out the reality of moving forward.

If this is our peak, its very dissapointing. No wonder it feels like mother nature wants to wipe us out.
I dont blame her .

@OogieBoogie Your reply makes sense though and would line up with medical science. Dementia is essentially a regression to early life behaviours and memories.

@MethDozer i read something last year, (it was a study on how people, - it mentioned men - but I wonder if it applies to all), can actually emotionally skip backwards to earlier coping mechanisms and behaviour, when things get too much .
Ie: how people can get childish in an argument.
Ie: midlife crisis.
Ie: spousal/work/ social conflict turning to aggression etc.
....and that the most common period we go back to is 'teenagehood'.

I dunno if its true. But the more i think back, the more i watch others and myself....it does make me wonder if it had value .
