I noticed my comment on someone's post mysteriously disappeared without a trace.

As if it were never there. Is that a weird glitch in the site?

Or a power the question asker has, with like special permissions or something?....

I think, sometimes, it means the person blocked you after some time has passed since they deleted your reply. I’m not certain of this and it wouldn’t be the original poster of the question but your reply to a reply

That happens to me too sometimes. if it was deleted, it will say deleted. But a few times its been, gone.

I noticed this one time. I was not blocked, and it was not deleted, it just poofed. Very odd

They may have deleted ur comment maybe someone flagged it or maybe someone took offense and flagged it as adult or inappropriate. My best guesses
