Hi want to be my friend?

Seriously, are there SW etiquette rules to friending people here? Can I just go friending people all willy nilly? If I just randomly friend you do I come off as desperate? What are the benefits of friendship? Someone friended me and I’ve never heard from him again? Gasp!! Does friending make you disappear?

@InOtterWords Actually, I’m more curious as to posts. Like some people comment on my post so I look them up and they have posts but I never see them. Just wondering how certainnpeoples posts come up on my feed and others don’t.
