International Women's Day is a political event [I Support Feminism]

People have been posting about giving flowers and appreciating their mothers, and that is all well and good.

But International Women's Day, March 8, made official in 1911, was born of women's political struggles regarding labor conditions, voting rights, pay equity, etc. It is a product of the labor movement, socialism, and feminism. Through the years, it has been marked by protest marches, not bouquets of flowers.

And I support it.

Yes, but let’s not forget that some of us want to steer clear of the political mess that this might lead to, and the unnecessary arguments over feminist views...lol

Hence my post about the essence of these strong powerful women who brought and still bring bout a change in society by standing up for their rights.
